I usually have passwords of several pages saved in seamonkey and all possible auto log in functions enabled (unless its sth really important to me), because I just can't be screwed remembering or saving up so many of them.
If both of those ever happen to fail I look up my email account to retrieve it, if the page in question is super secure and never sends it via email I have to reset it/create a new one.
All of these things happen very very rarely. Usually no problem if I can supply my email address and confirm that I'm in charge of it.
Sketchfu is different.
It happens that I never recieved any email from sketchfu (even tho their 'add friends' feature thing asks you to enter emails - and somehow even your own email and password, really weird - never used that). And what's worse: you cannot reset your password by providing your email or anything. (if I ever had a password I only entered it about three times - two times when registering, once for logging in turning the auto login on)
Now that I went there again it said: welcome back, whoever you are!
Yeah fine thanks - looks like that one finally died for me.
What's more, they've had problems with their page for quite a while already. The hosts disk space and bandwidth seems to be at it's limits. The page has been running slow and preview images aren't created any more (since about a month or more).
Yes it was just an experiment by Matt and Andrew. Now they aren't even making enough money with it to keep it running on it's own. So I really do wonder why it's still up, running at it's limits not making any profit, and on top of that it's not even fun to browse it anymore.
Am I glad I've saved those few nice images.
ps: where can I find the blank mood here? that menu is totally messed up when you want to find sth.
